General Structure

CheckMyTour is highly similar to other community portals and social networks, i.e. there are Home Pages for every user, profiles as well as pages and functions for groups, pictures and events. Besides functions especially provided to exchange information about tours, there are also widgets integrating with other portals and communities.

Home Page

	Your Home Page shows the most important information at a glance: Information about other members and groups on the left, the activity feed of your friends in the main part of the page, and access to more content, such as your profile or upcoming events as well as recent tweets on Twitter, on the right.
	As in other social networks, too, you can send news to your friends by posting status updates, links, photos or videos.
	Have a lot of Facebook friends who even share your hobbies? Then use the Social Network function on the right to directly invite them to CheckMyTour.

Community

Via the Community tab you have access to particularly useful information, such as the most active groups, upcoming events or photos and videos. You can also check here who of your Facebook friends are already active on CheckMyTour.

Tours

The page Tour is particularly useful when you are looking for interesting tours in your area. You can navigate and zoom with the map or input an address to find tours in different regions. In case of many highly interesting routes in a region, they will be clustered and a tile will show how many tours there are. Click a tile to zoom into that area. A tiny pin indicating whether it was a motorbike or some other tour marks the starting point of every tour. On mouse-over, the actual route is displayed and a tooltip shows some key information about that tour.

When you click such a pin, a page is displayed showing you more detailed information about that tour. Besides distance and a short description, you can also see how other users rated the tour. Also, the route on the map is accompanied with an altitude profile.

Events

Via the page Events you get access to upcoming meetings, fairs, exhibitions, shows and similar events. You may search for events or post your own such that other CheckMyTour users may join in.

Groups

Riding a motorbike is even more fun when you’re on the road with like-minded friends! That’s what Groups are for in CheckMyTour. You can see which groups already exist, join them and establish a group yourself.

Albums and Photos

	A picture is worth a thousand words! And telling about a nice tour is even more interesting when you have some nice pictures to show. These photos are managed in Albums which are created for your Tour Books automatically, but you may add more oft them if you like.
In a single album, you can manage many pictures, e.g. all photos of a tour or an event. The gallery view provides an overview, clicking on a photo will provide a larger image and allow to page through all photos.

Videos

Just as with photo albums, you can also upload Videos. So, when you recorded your recent ride or have some interesting stuff to show – share it on CheckMyTour!

Forum

The Forum is there to provide information and help on CheckMyTour. When you think you found a bug or have a suggestion for improvements, be it in the portal or one of the mobile apps, we appreciate your input in the forum. We will do our best to consider these for the next versions of CheckMyTour.

Updates

Updates will keep you up-to-date regarding all activities on CheckMyTour, be it news by your friends, comments on your posts and pictures, invitations to group or friendship requests.

Messages

In addition to regular updates, you may also exchange Messages with other users just as you are used to from other social networks or your favorite email program. The only difference here is that these are all messages from other CheckMyTour users.

Personal Settings

Via Settings, you can configure your personal profile such as changing your user name or password, adjusting privacy settings and notifications.
