The Home Page provides the most relevant information on a single screen: On the left, summary information about users and groups; the main area with the activity feeds of your friends; and on the right further content such as information on upcoming events and the most recent tweeds on Twitter.
Via the Community tab, you may access information on favorite activities, such as groups, events or photos that have been frequently accessed. You may also see here who of your Facebook friends is already a CheckMyTour member.
The page Tours is particularly interesting when you are looking for nice tour suggestions in your area. You may navigate and zoom with the map or type in an address if you are looking for tours at a particular place.
If there are many interesting tours in a specific area, a tile will automatically be displayed summarizing the number of tours. Clicking on the tile will zoom in to show all tours.
Starting points of tours are indicated by a pin with an icon showing the type of tour. When hovering the mouse over that pin, a tooltip shows some key information as well as the actual route is displayed on the map.
Via the page Events, you can access information about upcoming fairs, meetings, shows and other events. You may search for events or create a new one yourself thus inviting other members to join in.
A picture is worth a thousand words! And it is even more fun to talk about a nice tour when you have something to show! For this, use photos and albums which you may use together with your Tour Books - but also independently.
In a single almbum, you may manage many photos such as all pictures of a particular tour or of a nice event. In the Gallery View you will get an overview of al these pictures or just select a particular one.
As you can manage photo albums, you may also add videos. So, when you had the camcorder running on your recent trip or have any other cool thing to show why don’t you share?
The Forum provides further information and help for CheckMyTour. If you think there is a bug or something should be improved, be t on the portal or the mobile app, then let us know and we will be happy to include it in upcoming versions.
Apart from the general Updates, you may also exchange Messages with other members just as you know from other social networks or even from your Email program. However, this communication is inside the CheckMyTour community only.
By means of Settings, you may manage your personal profile, edit account data or the photo, and also adjust privacy settings as you prefer them to be.
